From the point of view that stem cell research should be banned, there is a lot of info to support this opinion. A big chunk of stem cells comes from embryos. While there are other ways of getting stem cells, human embryos have the most amount of stem cells. This is a big problem with the anti-stem cell group because a life must be eliminated for research or therepy to be done. And a lot of people do not agree with this. Some parents have gone too far by giving birth to a second child to heal the first child. This is a lot like the situation in the movie My Sister's Keeper. If we were to find an other easy way to get a good amount of stem cells, human embryos might not have to be used anymore and everyone would be pro-stem cell research.
