In August of 2010, researched showed that 70% of Americans voted to expand stem cell funding. Although that didn't happen, the majority of Americans are pro-stem cell research. Adult stem cells are the perfect stem cells to use because they don't involve killing an embryo, right? Wrong. Adult stem cells lack certain essentials that embryonic stem cells have. They are hard to obtain, they don't grow as fast, and are less robust then the embryonic cells. Pro-stem cell people want to peruse and expand the study of stem cells weather they are embryonic or not. Stem cells are miracles that can cure diseases and they don't care what the price is.
